Gucci’s much anticipated Sound of Change concert was a success. With
performers like Beyoncé, Florence + The Machine, Jennifer Lopez, Ellie
Goulding and more, the entertainment segment definitely exemplified girl
power. The Chime for Change initiative was
founded by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, Salma Hayek Pinault,
and Beyoncé to raise money for education, health, and justice for all
women. The concert included speakers and presenters such as Madonna,
Jada Pinkett Smith, Aishwarya Rai, and more. The room was filled with
influential and successful women that supported the movement to educate
the public about female oppression around the world. Each presenter and
performer wore some of Gucci’s best pieces including Florence Welch’s
custom made green gown and cape, Beyoncé’s python bodysuit, and Blake
Lively’s mod, white mini dress. Aside from the eye popping clothing,
Chime for Change raised $4.3 million from ticket sales. Those funds will
support 200 global projects to benefit women all over the world.
