Kate Moss at her 'The Beautiful and The Damned' 30th birthday, January 2004
Forget who we'd invite to dinner, if we were planning a party we know who'd be our guest of honour. She may have disappointingly spent her last birthday down the local boozer, but if there's one thing Kate Moss does best, besides modelling and pulling off effortlessly stylish outfits, it's having a good time. In the 90s she was at the centre of 'Cool Britania' alongside Noel Gallagher and Meg Matthews, in the noughties she led the Primrose Hill Set with her best friends Sadie Frost and Davinia Taylor, and just last month she helped her confidant and party organiser Fran Cutler celebrate her 50th with the ultimate 80s themed extravaganza, complete with fancy dress.
Speaking of birthday bashes, Kate has had some crackers in her time. They nearly always involve an elaborate theme, from her 'The Beautiful and the Damned' 30th which started with drinks at Claridges and reportedly ended in an orgy, to the star-studded affair she concocted for her 25th, when, wearing a star-print jumpsuit, she split her time between the Dorchester hotel and Punk nightclub with Kelly Osbourne and Phillip Green.
To mark the launch of her coffee table tome in 2012 she threw one of our top 10 parties of the year. Looking resplendent in a gold McQueen dress, Kate proved that despite the crowd of young party girl pretenders, from Florence Welch to Cara Delevingne, who raised a glass in her honour on the night, she will always be the Party Queen. We reckon she's probably picked up a few tips from party pals like Ronnie Wood and Marianne Faithfull.
